When the Daggers of Megiddo arrive at the Monastery of San Benedetto, De Carlo divides them amongst himself and his six fellow priests, including Paulo. The seven priests then travel to England to try and kill Damien in order to ensure the Second Coming of Christ.
The group station themselves at a night refuge. Paulo spots Damien among a crowd at a park but fails to attack him and reports back to De Carlo. Benito tries to kill Damien while he is being interviewed and is off-guard, but is killed in this failed attempt.
The day after the morning when the Second Coming of Christ occurred, Paulo and Martin wait at an old ruin in the countryside to ambush Damien, who is being lured there by Matteus. However, Damien and/or his Hellhound cause Paulo and Martin to see Matteus as Damien, and thus the two stab and kill Matteus instead. When a horrified Martin and Paulo realize what they have just done, Damien's Hellhound attacks.
The two retreat into a space in the floor from the Hellhound, but become trapped when a grate closes over the opening. Paulo and Martin are then left trapped in the space under the grate to die, and their fate is unknown.
